Airports alert to prevent Gayatri Prasad Prajapati from fleeing the nation

New Delhi: In a prompt action after the rape accused Uttar Pradesh transport minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati went absconding, when the state police raided his residence, an alert has been sounded at airports across the country, on Saturday, to prevent him from fleeing the nation.

The directives were issued against the Samajwadi Party (SP) minister after the Girl, who was allegedly gangraped by him and six others, has accused the minister of threatening to kill her.

The family of the victim has alleged that the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Amita Singh had forced the victim to give statement in favour of the minister or get ready to face the dire consequences.

What else the family of victim has said?

- A team of UP police was sent to Delhi's AIIMS hospital on March 2 to record the statement of the girl.

- The police team stayed for around 4 hours in the AIIMS hospital.

- They threatened the victim and her family members of dire consequences.

- A complaint has been lodged with the Hauz Khas police station.

It may be mentioned that UP Police is in search of the absconding minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati.

A case was filed against the Samajwadi Party tainted minister and six others, under the relevant sections of gangrape and POCSO Act after the Supreme Court order.

FIRs against all the accused had been lodged at Gautampalli Kotwali under sections 376D (gangrape), 376, 511,504, 506 and the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Those named in the FIR included: Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, Ashok Tiwari, Pintoo Singh, Vikas Verma, Chandrapal, Rupesh and Ashish Shukla.
