French ambassador meets UP CM Yogi Adityanath, visits Gorakhnath temple
During his brief visit to the Gorakhnath temple, Lenain also fed jaggery to the cows in the temple’s cow shelter. He also visited other shrines located in the temple premises.
French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain, who is one two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, visited the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur on Thursday. The French ambassador participated in rituals amid chants of Vedic mantras.
During his brief visit to the Gorakhnath temple, Lenain also fed jaggery to the cows in the temple’s cow shelter. He also visited other shrines located in the temple premises.
The temple management said religious and cultural books of Gita Press and the Gorakhnath temple in French and English languages were gifted to the French ambassador to India.
French ambassador meets Yogi Adityanath
Lenain reached Gorakhpur late Wednesday evening and the District Magistrate Vijyendra Pandiyan received him.
Earlier on Wednesday, the French ambassador met Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and held discussions regards strengthening ties between France and India. The ambassador laid special emphasis on ties with Uttar Pradesh, which is India’s most populous state.

At the meeting, Adityanath invited France to invest in the state. He also thanked the French government for making available the fighter jet Rafale. Adityanath added that France is a partner of India against terrorism.
After the meeting, Yogi Adityanath said he had a “wonderful” meeting with the French ambassador to India.

“We had a fruitful discussion regarding further strengthening the ties between France and India and forging the partnership for leveraging huge potential of Uttar Pradesh,” he added.

Emmanuel Lenain also praised Yogi Adityanath and said he is "impressed by UP's dynamism. "France is keen to contribute to UP Govt’s ambitious plans in the areas of sustainable cities, defence industry, aerospace," he added.
