Muzaffarnagar: The election officer in Muzaffarnagar, Dinesh Kumar Singh, on Thursday filed complaints against 36 officials under the Representation of People's Act for remaining unpresent during the election duty training.

The complaints have been filed on orders of the Election Commission against people holding the prominent posts including Junior Engineers, senior teachers and government employees.

What Dinesh Kumar said?

- As many as 36 officials were unpresent during the election duty training.

- FIRs have been lodged against all of them.

- Officials punished are from different government departments.

Security beefed up:

- Dinesh Kumar said that more security personnel have been deployed for UP Assembly Polls.

- Muzaffarnagar is a sensitive place where people from all the religions and castes dwell.

- Para Military force will be deployed to each booth.

It may be mentioned that Uttar Pradesh will go for the first phase voting out of the seven phases on February 11.

Districts to go for polls in first phase polling include: Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur, Bulandshahar, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etah and Kasganj.
