FLO Lucknow chapter was elated to bring to ts members, an insightful discussion via zoom, two remarkable guest speakers, Ms. Navya Naveli Nanda, Co-founder Aara Health and NGO Project Naveli and Mrs. Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee - Mukul Madhav Foundation(MMF) & Director - Finolex Industries Limited.

Both these women have not only carved a niche for themselves in the corporate and professional world but also as change makers in society. Having worked extensively in the area of providing health and education related inputs to the marginalized section of society, both these illustrious women, have also worked at empowering women at the grassroots.

Mrs. Chabbria, through her organization, MMF has touched over 8 Lakh lives has identified health, education and sanitation as her areas of focus. During the program, she not only talked about her huge body of work which included medical camps, cerebral palsy issues, water conservation efforts and providing aid to needy students, she also spoke passionately about issues relating to women health and sanitation, building toilets in villages and rights and current situation of girl children in India. She also talked about her concept of 'Giving with Dignity' an initiative started during the pandemic to help the needy.

Ms. Nanda, being a champion of women equality and women empowerment, both at the rural and urban levels, spoke at length about her entrepreneurial journey, her foray into the world of promoting women health, importance of addressing mental health issues among adolescents and women and the effect of pandemic on young Indians. Her brainchild, Project Naveli, hopes to bridge the gender gap in India. The project will provide women with access to resources and opportunities that will allow for economic and social empowerment


She said that unless both the girls and boys are equally supported to reach their full potential our society can never fully develop. Involvement of men who are brothers, fathers and husbands is necessary to bring the change.

Both these speakers also spoke about their novel concept of Period Positive Homes.

Mrs. Arushi Tandon, Chairperson FLO Lucknow, was extremely excited about organizing this event and said, "The only real chance of bringing about a sustainable change in society, is when women are involved in the transformative process. These two change makers today stand testimony to the power of women redesigning our world for the better."

Talking to these two change makers for the chapter members and committee was one awe-inspiring experience that left all in the audience not only highly motivated but also visibly all excited and eager to make an impact and give back.
