Etah Accident: Police to launch 3-day checking drive of school vehicles

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Transport Commissioner on Thursday issued directions to the state police to launch a 3-day vigorous checking of the vehicles that commute school students.

The orders have been passed following the Etah accident on Thursday morning in which at least 13 school kids and the bus driver were killed.

The collision of private school bus with the truck also left behind over 40 injured.

The Transport Commissioner has asked the checking authorities to ensure strict action against those who are running school vehicles in damaged condition and not following the traffic guidelines.
