Divyakant Shukla becomes OSD of UP Board

Lucknow: Several names were in the news for getting the post of Secretary of UP Board, but the resposibility given to Divyakant Shukla, Divisional Joint Education Director, Prayagraj. On Monday, he joined as Special Officer. He will join his work from July 1. UP Board Secretary Nina Srivastava was retiring on 31 March but got a three-month extension of service to release the results of high school and intermediate board exams.

Nina Srivastava will retire on 30th June and the results of 10th and 12th Board examination will be announced on 27 June.

Divyakant Shuka to take charge from 1st July:

Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Aradhana Shukla informed that Divyakant Shukla, currently working as Joint Director in Secondary Education Department, Prayagraj, has been sent to OSD. UP Board Secretary Nina Srivastava was retiring in March but, due to UP Board examination, she was given extension of service till 30 June.

When the extension of service is over, she will hand over the charge to Divyakant Shukla. Shukla will take charge till full-time secretary is posted.

Let us tell you that the post of UP Board Secretary is of the level of Additional Director and there have been many prominent faces of the education department on this post. Divyakant Shukla is also an officer with a record of holding selected positions. Shukla, who served as the Director of Divisional Joint Education, was the Basic Education Officer of Gautam Budh Nagar district in 1997-98 about 20 years ago.

He stayed in this position for some time in Lucknow and Faizabad. He has worked as the Director of Divisional Assistant Education, District School Inspector, Diet Principal in Prayagraj and is currently serving as the Director of Divisional Joint Education.
