On the occasion of seven days Orientation Program organised by Department of Social Work, University of Lucknow . Five sessions was organised on the last day .In the first session the main speaker was Mrs. Anju Pandey of Vigyan Foundation which works with underprivileged homeless, informal sector workers, women and child rights, illiteracy and various other issues. She shared about the project "Giving Wings to Dreamers" of Vigyan Foundation which aims to educate slum children by enrolling them in open school. She ended the session by highlighting the importance of leadership in students. In the second session the main speakers was Ms Anjali Srivastav and Mr Rajat of Milan Foundation which works on creating an equal and inclusive world.

Ms Anjali talked about diversified education system of India where she highlighted girls education and its related issues such as dropout, low enrollment rate, safety and security, transportation and associated gender roles . Further Mr Rajat shared about Swarachna schools which provides free holistic education to girls. The session ended by emphasizing on the responsibilities of every citizen of India for better tomorrow. In the third session the main speaker was Mr Satyanshu Srivastav (Director Soharatgarh society). He discussed about environment, health and education. Further he told that youth should be technologically updated for excelling in today's era. In the fourth session the main speakers was Mrs Rita Singh and Mr Prafull (President Mukti Foundation) .They discussed about the various issues of the society such as education, health, poverty and malnutrition. Further they shared about the different projects on which the organisation works such as Mission shakti, Mission Dhruv and Mission samarpan. The session ended with a discussion on values and principles of social work and importance of fieldwork in social work.

In the fifth session the main speaker was Mr Balveer Singh of Ummed NGO. He talked about humanitarian base of social work and the challenges of working in the field as a social worker .Further he highlighted about strategies of behaviour change and skills of social worker required in the field. The session ended with a question answer round where the students clarified their queries.

The todays session has been conducted by Dr Mohini Gautam and research scholars of the department Ms Sumbul Mr Pawan, Mr Laraib, Mr Vishvadeep, Ms Ashupriya were present in all the 18 sessions of the 7 days orientation program.
