Crowd finds Mayawati rallies sleepy, says Akhilesh Yadav

Jaunpur: In a sarcastic take on Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said people sleep in her rallies.

“I have noticed several times that in the rallies of Bua Ji (Mayawati), people get bored and sleep on their chairs. She is our bua but we are waiting to see when she celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Samajwadi Party,” said Akhilesh while addressing an election rally here on Saturday.

Akhilesh Yadav said SP is leading in the six phases and is confident of its performance in the final phase i.e. seventh phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Patting his own back, Akhilesh said that if PM Modi will see the crowd here, he will get to know that SP will emerge victorious. “People have admired the policies and schemes of Samajwadi Party,” he added.

The polling for seventh phase of UP Assembly elections will take place on March 8.
