New Delhi: Saturday's lockdown has now been ended in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave relaxation amid a significant reduction in Corona cases. Now markets will be closed only on Sundays.

No lockdown on Saturdays in UP:

To end Saturday's lockdown in UP, CM Yogi gave instructions in a meeting with the officials of Team-09. After this, the Home Department issued a detailed guideline.

State's Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Awasthi gave information in this regard. According to the guidelines of the Home Department, now people will be able to move normally in the state from 6 am to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday.


Earlier, in the meeting of Team-09 for the management of covid-19, CM Yogi Adityanath warned that a slight negligence can again lead to the increase of the deadly corona. The adherence to the COVID protocol must be ensured at all costs.

In the official order, it has been said that the new order will be implemented from August 14. Along with the relaxation of one day, people are expected to compulsorily use masks, social distancing and sanitizers etc. Significantly, the cases of corona infection in Uttar Pradesh have remained negligible. Along with the number of active cases in the state, the death rate has also come down.

Corona cases in Uttar Pradesh:

In the last 24 hours, 20 new cases of coronavirus reported in UP. While 43 people have recovered from Corona and have been discharged. At present, the number of active cases of corona in UP has remained only 545. So far 17,08812 cases of corona were reported in the state, out of which 16,85492 have been recovered. Now 22775 people have lost their lives due to corona infection in the state.
