17 New Airports in UP; CM Yogi meets Hardeep Puri for further developments

Lucknow: In line with Prime Minister Modi's intention, the central government is engaged in equal cooperation with Uttar Pradesh in the 'Udaan' scheme and airports construction work. In the last three years, the Central Government has been undertaking construction of 17 airports here. Earlier only two airports were working in UP, but currently seven airports are functioning.

New Airports for betterment of civil aviation:

Once all 17 airports become operational, the civil aviation facility will increase. Better air connectivity will boost tourism, create employment opportunities on a large scale and the state will develop rapidly.

During video conferencing here today, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that full support will be given. By the state government for the development work related to the airport. He said that the State Government is working fast for the establishment of Ayodhya, Chitrakoot and Sonbhadra (Myorpur) airports as per the expectations of the Central Government.

Necessary action is being taken by the district administration of the three districts, so that airports can be established at the earliest and air services can be operated on the air routes selected by the Airport Authority of India.

The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to carry out airport related development works in Bareilly, Hindon, Saharanpur, Meerut, Lucknow and Varanasi. He said that connectivity will also increase from Bareilly, Hindon, Saharanpur and Meerut and the citizens of these areas will get benefit. He said that the remaining work of Kushinagar International Airport will proceed in a time bound manner.

Meanwhile, there were updates related to Ayodhya International Airport too. As soon as the construction work of Ram Mandir will complete, Govt is thinking about the development of the Ayodhya.
