UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gets Z-plus category security
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was allotted Z-plus security on Thursday. Now, the UP CM will be covered by 25-28 special commandos of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and a few UP Police cops.
It may be recalled that former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was given protection by armed commandos of National Security Guard (NSG).
The CMs are generally given NSG level security, but the decision to beef up Yogi's security was taken on tipoff from the central intelligence agencies of a possible security threat to him.
Earlier, being an MP from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, Yogi was given Y-category security. It may be mentioned that there will also be an escort vehicle and a jammer in his convoy.
