Fourth phase polling majorly went in BSP's favour: Mayawati

Lucknow: After termination of fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati exuded confidence that like first three phases, most number of votes have come in favour of her party which reaffirms her faith of forming majority government in the state.

The BSP chief, through a press release, said, "I feel glad to inform that similar to the first three phases of the UP polls, the fourth phase polling has also majorly gone in favour of BSP. This confirms that we are going to form a majority government here, once the election results are out on March 11."

She also congratulated her party workers and people of the 53 constituencies of the 12 districts which went for polls, for showing unprecedented support to her party.

"The people of the state have shown faith in BSP's firm and tested leadership as they believe that only my party can eradicate the prevailing 'jungle raj' from the state," Mayawati stated.

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also promised to establish a lawful and corruption-free government and work for the welfare of the people of the state.
