Bangladesh origin robbers injured in police encounter in Lucknow

Lucknow: Two robbers hailing from Bangladesh have been injured in two separate police encounters near Jugauli railway crossing and Paper Mill Colony area here on Friday.

Police has recovered Bangladesh's currency, illegal weapons and ID proofs from robbers.

One of the robbers have been identified as Shafiqul who is a resident of Borhopori in Bangladesh's Modalganj area.

Police said, "The robbers had come to India illegally. Police has recovered Bangladeshi currency from them. Further investigation is underway."
