Agra: The State President of Uttar Pradesh unit Laxmikant Bajpai has issued a veiled warning to Indian Railways not to take action against a junior party functionary Vinod Samaria, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) City President of Fatehpur Sikri in Agra, who has been receiving frequent notices from Railways to clear dues.

When Samaria, in whose name a train was booked for Narendra Modi's rally in Lucknow, expressed his agony to the BJP State President, he suggested him to stay calm as the Indian Railways could not do anything more than sending notices till the time the BJP was ruling at the Centre.

Newztrack.com has the exclusive audio recording of the telephonic conversation between the two (Click on the play button to listen):

Script of telephonic conversation between Samaria and Bajpai:

Vinod Samaria: Namaste! Mr. State President, this is Vinod Samaria speaking.

Laxmikant Bajpai: Yes!

Vinod Samaria: Sir, when will the Railways’ dues be cleared?

Laxmikant Bajpai: It will be cleared, probably in the next six months. Why does it bother you when I’ve already told you that I sent the ‘newspaper cutting’ to Amit Shah ji and Ramlal ji and had a word with them. Indian Railways do not have the audacity to take any action against you or the party till the time we are at the centre.

Vinod samaria: But sir . . .

Laxmikant Bajpai: Party will clear the dues and I heard that you made a visit to Delhi?

Vinod Samaria: I visited Delhi last when we met at Manoj Sinha’s residence.

Laxmikant Bajpai: I mean to say we both are trying to resolve this. Do not worry, the payment will be done soon and you will not have to face any complication in future.

Vinod samaria: I do not have to worry as long you are in my support.

The matter:

  • Samaria booked a 19-bogie-train for Narendra Modi’s rally held under the last general elections in Lucknow.
  • He had paid the whole amount, along with security deposit, for booking the train before the rally.
  • Later, after hike in railway fare in March, 2014, the railways sent him a notice to submit the pending amount of Rs 12, 29,390.
  • The BJP city president complained the matter to senior party leaders and they assured him that the matter would be settled once their government was formed.
  • Earlier, he threatened to commit suicide due to continuous nagging of the railways.
  • Moreover, he says he is son of a poor farmer and does not have money to pay to railways.
  • It was the party which was supposed to fit the bill.
