Lucknow: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is going to start using automated machine guidance (AMG) 3D for the construction of highways for the first time. First of all, it will be used to build the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway. According to NHAI, this technology will almost double the speed of highway construction. Also, people and contractors associated with it will get updates on highway construction on their phones and computers.

63 km long expressway to start

The 63 km long Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway is being constructed for Rs 4,200 crore. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone of the project. A deadline of December 2023 has been set for the construction of this expressway, which will be constructed with 3D AMG technology. With this expressway, the distance between the two cities will be only 40 minutes.

What is 3D AMG Technology?

3D AMG Technology 3D collects and uses data from sources such as engineered models. In this way, highways can be constructed by deciding their strength for situations like earthquakes and other disasters. 3D provides accurate information about software manufacturing equipment, equipment, and machine seating speed with the help of AMG technology. Highways and other large constructions can be easily done with the help of this.

SATELLITE to help AMG system:

An official associated with the NHAI said that 3 AMG technology systems will be integrated from one computer. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellites will also be used. These satellites will collect information related to expressway construction and relay them to GNSS reverses installed on machines. In real-time, highway construction will not only help them but will also enable better machinery to be selected.

Computer model to be prepared in advance

A model of highway between Lucknow-Kanpur will be developed with the help of computer. "Computers find out the position and location of the machine and apply it to the computer model of the already prepared project," the official said. The operator can build further using the computer found in the machine. This onboard computer will be directly connected to machine hydraulics and the operator will have to provide minimum inputs. "

Used in a government project for the first time

3D some private companies have been using the AMG module for projects but it has not been adopted on a large scale. The choice of this system on behalf of the NHAI increases the possibilities associated with it. "Based on the response from the first project, it will further help in its use and learn a lot," the official said. This could lead to a major change in the highway sector. "
