Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh on Wednesday announced that the government has terminated 270 government doctors who have not executed their duties in the hospitals for a single day over the past 10 years.

Talking to the media persons outside Vidhan Sabha, the UP Health Minister said, "We have issued termination letter for 270 government doctors who have not been present at their duty over the past decade."

He also claimed that the state government has decided to regularise 3,687 doctors who have been rendering services in the government-run hospitals for the past 15 years.

In a bid to improve the facilities in the government hospitals of the state, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader said that the bed sheets will be changed on a daily basis.
