World’s cheapest mobile site ‘freedom 251’ crashes

Noida: The official website of World’s cheapest Smartphone ‘Freedom 251’ crashed minutes after it was launched. Hundreds of people went to the company headquarter in excitement for the inquiry but they did not find any person at the office.

“We receive approx 6 lakh hits per second as a result of which due to your kind overwhelming response servers are over loaded,” the mobile company Ringing Bells Private Limited claimed on its website. “We are taking pause and we will be back in 24 hours” added the company site.

• Booking started at 0600 hours on February 18.
• Website crashed without booking even a single order.
• The cost for the mobile is Rs 251 only.
• A letter was displayed outside the office wall describing that “Mobile booking can be only done online.”

Meanwhile, the case of website crash has been trolled on the microblogging site twitter and other social media sites.
