New Delhi: Leading from the front, India is yet again set for another evacuation of 500 Indian nationals from the violence stricken African nation. The evacuation will be lead by former Army Chief General V.K. Singh.

On Thursday, two Indian Air Force (IAF) C-17 Globemasters will be sent for the evacuation.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to Twitter to inform about the C-17 proceedings along with V.K Singh.

At least 36,000 South Sudanese civilians have ran away from their homes due to the harsh conditions, United Nations (UN) said.

Showing his concern regarding the evacuations of the Indians, ‘Airlift’ actor Akshay Kumar on Twitter requested all Indians in Juba to register with the Indian Embassy.
