Things which don't have any scientific explanation

Lucknow: We often cite scientific studies while talking about certain facts or things, as it is considered a base to answer everything or to uphold any idea. But what will happen if science fails to answer certain questions? Whom are you going to believe then?

Well, take a deep breath! Science, if doesn't have any concrete answer to your questions, always has theories to wash away your doubts.

Here is the list of 10 things which even science doesn’t have answer to:

1. Déjà vu

We all must have experienced it at least once in our life that we have lived this very moment in the past and this is just a replay of that time. Yes, science is trying to explain this phenomenon where people claim to have been in the similar situation and have memory of that. Though science says, sometimes our mind makes false memories; maybe déjà vu is the answer to it. But it would be exciting to know something extraordinary about this experience.

2. Sixth Sense

Often known as gut feeling or intuition, sixth sense lets us predict what is going to happen. Philologists say, our sub-conscious mind gathers information about our surroundings and past experiences which later results in calculated outcome in the form of sixth sense. For example just by seeing clouds we can predict the rain.

3. Placebo Effect

It is still unknown whether we need medication or our body can repair on its own. People have shown the desired results even when they were given normal pills. Many a times, doctors used plain water injections or sweet pills to trick patients that they have been given pain killers. Miraculously, it has worked wonders and people show desired results. May be this is the answer why prayers work and why quakes are still in the business.

4. Sleep Paralysis

It is a condition where a person is aware of his surroundings even in sleep and can’t wake-up. Science still doesn’t know the cause why people experience sleep paralysis.

5. Near-Death Experiences and Life After Death

What will happen after death? Would there be any heaven or might we enter in another parallel universe or will our conscious be dead and there is no light no place after death? People with near-death experiences are subject of study for many scholars and researchers as they are the only source we can rely on. But still a lot of mystery is attached to it. May be one day we can get our questions answered.

6. Ghosts

Paranormal activities have been registered by many paranormal experts. And they scientifically try to answer such incidents and study them with scientific equipment. R.E.M Pod, E.M.F. Meter, Thermal Imaging Camera, Motion Sensor, Digital Thermometer, etc. are some of the modern machines to register paranormal activities.

7. Dreams

Everyone loves to dream. Some people are day dreamers and whenever they get time they love to escape in imagery world of dreams. But this simple phenomenon has kept scientists wondering for long, why do we dream? There is a simple philosophy to explain the dreams. The theory says that the dreams are just like a training drill for our minds which make us familiar with some of the most unexpected things which might happen in our lives.

It is also said that dreams are symbolic representation of the events that are likely to take place in future. Sounds weird, right? But many people claim that they can predict the future as there are codes and symbols in our dreams which are to be decoded. This type of dreaming is known as precognitive/ psychic dreaming.

8. Gender Orientation

It is a very 21st century thing when we talk about LGBT communities and gay rights. But have you ever wondered why some of us find ourselves in the wrong body even when we were born with particular sex orientation. The science couldn’t answer why people experience this and feel uncomfortable with the sex they are born in and show distinctive behaviour. People having different gender identity undergo sex-change surgeries just to be in alignment with their inner-self.

9. Mystery of Consciousness

We all have consciousness. We are aware of our surroundings, people, emotions and ourselves. We gather a large amount of data in our brain in the form of memories. These memories can be consisting of our knowledge, experiences, emotions, etc. which we gather in our life. But what happens to our consciousness when we die? Does it end with us or transform? Where does it go? Well, with advancement in technology, science proposed a futuristic hypothesis ‘Whole Brain Emulation’ or ‘Brain Upload’. As the term suggests human brain will be uploaded to computers. It is like going from physical world to digital world resulting immortality of human brain.

10. Human Evolution

Homo sapiens or modern humans share 95 per cent of their DNA with Chimpanzees and as much as 60% with Tomatoes. Evolution has been wrapped in many mysteries and has a history of millions of years on earth. Scientists have come up with many evolution theories to tell human history. Well according to such theories, if it is to be believed at one point of time human DNA went under 'DNA engineering' by aliens or other intelligent beings, making us more intelligent and advance.
