New Delhi: Replying to those who were clamouring for Priyanka Gandhi to rejuvenate the Congress party, senior leader Jairam Ramesh on Monday said Priyanka did not have a magic wand to achieve this goal.

“Like always, I still believe that the party’s revival does not depend on an individual but it is only possible by collective endeavour. No member of the party has a magic wand to do that on an individual level,” said Ramesh while talking to media persons in the national capital.

What else Ramesh said:

  • The party’s revival is only possible by collective effort and the team work.
  • Congress has so far taken right steps vis-a-vis next Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Party’s move to announce the Chief Ministerial candidate in UP almost eight months ahead of the Assembly elections was quite unusual.
  • The party is still learning from its experiences.
