PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojna: Key points of Sitharaman's package you must know!

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced complete lock down from Wednesday. The duration of this lock down is 21 days. After this the normal life of people affected at every phase.

On Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a Prime Minister Gareeb Kalyan Yojna. In this Yojna, needy will get help directly from Govt. The government on Thursday announced a Rs 1.7 lakh crore stimulus that included free foodgrain and cooking gas to poor for three months, and cash doles to women and poor senior citizens as it looked to ease the economic impact of the nationwide lockdown.

Few Key points about this YOJNA, you must know:

1.For Construction Workers:

Total amouunt of 31 thousand rupee will be provided for construction workers. Center will directly talk to states and then they will send the help to the construction workers.

2.Self help group (Women):

Self-help groups get up to Rs 10 lakh collateral-free loans under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Rural Mission scheme. In this , almost 7 crore house hold will get help.

3.Jan Dhan Yojna Account Holder (women): The holders of jan dhan yojana account will get total 20 crore rupees help.

4.For Offices Workers :

Workers will be allowed to draw a non-refundable advance of 75 per cent from credit in provident fund account or three months salary, whichever is lower.

5.Businessman and their emlpoyees: Businesses closed during the lockdown, the government will contribute employees as well as employer’s contribution to the provident fund for the next three months of companies with up to 100 employees with 90 per cent earning not more than Rs 15,000. The contribution will be a total of 24 per cent of eligible wages.

6.Free Food and Grain for poor: Free food grains and pulses would cost Rs 45,000 crore, Rs 2,000 payment to 8.7 crore farmers under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana will cost Rs 16,000 crore.
