Medical student sues Ramdev for 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' remark

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police has registered a case against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for his earlier statement he respected the constitution otherwise he would have ‘beheaded’ those who refused to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

''Ramdev was booked, on a complaint of a medical college student namely Mohammad Bin Omer, under section 295 A (malicious and deliberate acts intended to outrage religious feelings) of the Indian Penal Court (IPC),” a senior police officer said on Wednesday.

Omer, who is also an activist of city based ‘Darsgah Jihad-O-Shahadat’, mentioned in the complaint letter that he came across a video clip on YouTube where Ramdev was seen threatening members of a specific community.
