Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government is seems concerned about the health of its citizens as now they have imposed a ‘fat tax’ on eating fast foods like pizza, burgers and tacos.

The ‘fat tax’ of 14.5 per cent would be imposed only on premium class restaurants selling food like pizzas, burgers, tacos, doughnuts, sandwiches, pasta, burger patty and bread-filling.

The proposal of the ‘fat tax’ was passed by the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government which came to power in the May last assembly polls.
