JNU student union leader Kanhaiya meets Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Kanhaiya Kumar, on Tuesday, visited Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi ahead of his visit to the Hyderabad Varsity.

The student leader, who was recently surrounded by controversies and was arrested on sedition charges, is scheduled to meet Rohith Vemula's friends at the Hyderabad University on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at the part of the campus where a makeshift memorial had been set up for Rohith Vemula.

Rahul Gandhi met Kanhaiya at the Congress office in New Delhi
