PICTURES: Himachal Pradesh receives season's first snowfall

Shimla: After Kashmir, the popular tourist places of Himachal Pradesh namely Manali, Daklhousie and Shimla received the season's first snowfall on Saturday.

While in some places of the Kashmir, the snowfall has hampered living, the weather in Himachal Pradesh is attracting more tourists who come to the hill stations to see the snow.

As soon as the news of snowfall flashed across the state, tourists started visiting the cities of Himachal Pradesh.

Manali and its nearby Solang slopes and Kothi were covered with adequate snow.

The minimum temperature recorded in the states:

• Shimla 4.9 degrees,
• Sundernagar 5.6 degrees
• Bhuntar 5 degrees
• Kalpa -2.6
• Dharamshala 9
• Una 7.5
• Nahan 7.9
• Solan 4.5
• Manali 0.6
• Keylong -5.9
• Kangra 7.4 degrees

According to the local meteorological office, “The warning has been issued in the state for heavy rain, thunder showers and heavy snowfall on Saturday and Sunday.
