Alcohol is diuretic, that means it removes liquids from the body. The after-effects of heavy drinking is known as hangover resulting dehydration,anxiety, dizziness, sensitivity to loud sounds, vomiting severe headache and many more. It is experienced both physiologically and psychologically in the morning after a night of boozing.

Bananas

  • One of the effective remedies is to have a banana.
  • It is filled with potassium and helps replenish it in your body.
  • Just peel and take a bite.

Water

  • Water helps to hydrate your body and dilutes the impurities that are there in our body.
  • Drinking a plenty of water.
  • Try to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water.

Lemons

  • Lemon helps to detoxify and break down alcohol.
  • It is also refreshing and is gentle on an upset stomach during hangovers.
  • Add two teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey in warm water and slowly drink this 2-3 times or more from the time you wake up.

Ginger Tea

  • Ginger tea helps to overcome nausea and accelerate the process of alcohol digestion, which soothes the stomach.
  • This best remedy to get rid of hangover headache.
  • Take about 12 slices of fresh ginger in about four cups of water and boil for about 10 minutes.
  • Add fresh orange juice and lemon juice and 1/2 cup of honey.

Ice

  • It is a good remedy for your headache.
  • Crush some ice and place it in a towel.
  • Press it against your head.

Tomato Juice

  • It is one of the effective way to counter hangovers.
  • It helps to metabolise and break down alcohol.
  • You may also have tomato soup.

Toast

  • Spread some honey on bread or some sugar and then toast it.
  • Toast increases your carbohydrates intake which in turn increases your blood sugar level.
  • This will work as a person suffering from hangover has a low blood sugar level.

Oil Pulling

  • It is a natural way to detoxify your body.
  • Try this on an empty stomach, when you wake up.
  • Take 1 table spoon of coconut oil and swish it around your mouth and teeth for 20 minutes
  • Spit the oil out and rinse your mouth.

Honey

  • Have a tablespoon of honey as the fructose content present helps to break down alcohol faster and hence reduce its effect.
  • Take a spoonful twice or thrice.

Peppermint

  • Bite some crisp peppermint leaves for the duration of the day. It will help you recuperate rapidly.
  • Make some peppermint tea by pouring boil water more than one teaspoon of dried peppermint. Spread it, let it soak for 15 minutes and after that strain it.
  • Drink one to some this natural tea after you wake up.
