Lucknow: Bhartiya Janata Party leader and Union minister Ram Shankar Katheria on Saturday said the education system in Uttar Pradesh is far more backward than other states in the country.

“The ruling Samajwadi Party has failed to make new educational policies that can possibly benefit the students. Therefore, the state has turned out to be way more backward than other sates when it comes to the education system,” said Katheria while speaking at a function of Lucknow University in the state capital, where he was accompanied by UP governor Ram Naik.

What else Katheria said:

  • The great men and scholars of the history are being divided among the people on the basis of their caste and religion.
  • I want to remind such people that great men belong to an entire nation and not to any political party.
  • We appeal to universities to make students study the biographies of great men like Mahatma Gandhi and Maharana Pratap.
  • Students should follow the ideologies of these noble men to make their lives worth living.
