Big B to host Modi govt’s 2nd anniversary event at India Gate
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and most of his ministers will expectedly attend an event at India Gate of the national capital to be hosted by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan to mark the second anniversary of Modi government on May 18.
The event – Zara Muskura Do – will be aimed at highlighting the government’s achievements . Cherry on top, the event will also have several performances by noted artistes.
The government has formed a panel of ministers to supervise the event’s preparations. The panel is headed by the Urban Development Minister M Vankaiah Naidu and also includes Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
- The show will be beamed across the country by Doordarshan.
- The event is likely to be attended by Bollywood personalities Anupam Kher, Prasoon Joshi and Madhur Bhandarkar among others.
- The Bhartiya Janata Party has also planned to hold almost 200 events across the country between May 26 and June 10.
- Modi is expected to address rallies in different cities, starting with Saharanpur of Uttar Pradesh on May 26.
