UP CM honours 80 women to mark International Women’s day

Lucknow: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav honoured as many as 80 women with Rani Lakshmi Bai Bravery Award.

They were also given a cash prize of Rs one lakh and a certificate by the UP government.

“All these honourable women have set an example for others”, said the CM.

Femina Miss India grand winner Vartika Singh and ‘Divyang’ Mountaineer Arunima Sinha were among the awardees at the event which was held on Tuesday at CM House in Lucknow.
