Chennai: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, General secratery J. Jayalalitha expelled on Sunday its Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa from the party for slapping a leader of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam DMK, Triruchi Siva. Pushpa, on Monday in the parliament alleged that there was a threat to her life.

  • Pushpa had allegedly slapped DMK's Rajya Sabha MP Triruchi Siva at the Delhi Airport.

  • Sasikala claimed that Triruchi was criticizing Jayalalithaa and she couldn't tolerate this.

Pushpa said,"I need protection. i don't have safety in Tamil Nadu. there is a threat to my life. I am being compelled to resign from my constitutional post."
