Malda (WB): A road mishap in Malda district in West Bengal injured 30 people, including a bride and groom, on their way home after marriage ceremony, on Sunday, May 1.

A mini-truck carrying 29 people overturned after a tyre of the vehicle busted injuring the passengers and the driver.

Highlights:

  • The passengers were returning from Laxmi Narayanpur village in South Dinajpur district to Sitalpur village in Malda district.
  • The bride and Groom had fractures in their hands and legs.
  • Fifteen of the injured people were admitted to Malda Medical College and the rest were taken to a local health centre.

What police said:

  • The Malda police confirmed the news saying that all the passengers are safe and have been sent to nearby hospitals for treatment.
