Billionaire Elon Musk acquired the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and made changes to it. Now a new subscription model can be released. According to media reports, users will have to pay an annual fee of one dollar for basic facilities.

This subscription will be introduced as 'Not a Bot' in which there will be a provision to charge users for liking posts and reposting made on other's accounts. The company said that the purpose of introducing this new subscription model is to combat bots and spammers. Bots have been a controversial issue for Elon Musk.

The subscription fee will be decided based on the exchange rate of the countries. After implementing the new subscription model, Indian users will have to pay Rs 83.23 as a subscription fee. Apart from this, China will have to pay 7.30 yuan, Japan will have to pay 149.68 yen, and Russia will have to pay 97.52 rubles as a subscription fee.

According to the company, the new model will be implemented first in New Zealand and the Philippines. In this test, existing users will not be affected, but new users who do not want to subscribe will only be able to view posts or videos and follow the account.
