Tesla Is Creating Another Controversy With Its New System

Electric automaker Tesla has issued recall orders for its 4.75 lakh electric cars. The recalled units are Tesla model 3 and model S. These recalled models are investigating a possible problem with rearview cameras and trunks, which can cause accidents. The Tesla Recall Order has been confirmed by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

These are the reasons for the recall

The reason for the recall in Tesla cars is said to be a malfunction in its trunk. According to reports, the rear camera is likely to be damaged when the rear trunk in Tesla cars opens and closes suddenly. In addition, it is reported that in some of these units, the front trunk opens without any prior warning. In this way, it can be extremely dangerous because its opening stops the front appearance.

These models are being recalled

S EV model 3 and model between 2014 and 2021 are the models which are recalled. According to NHTSA, 3,56,309 Model 3 cars built between 2017 and 2020 are being recalled. A complaint of malfunction in the rearview camera has been received. On the other hand, 1,19,009 units are being called due to front hood failure in model S.

The new gaming feature has been considered a matter of concern

This is not the first time that a complaint has been made about safety features in Tesla cars. Earlier, it had come to know about a new feature that can play video games on a large touchscreen on the dashboard of the car and that too when the car is running. At that time, the Governors Highway Safety Association had admitted that it was certainly a big concern if it was played in front of the driver.

Questions have already been raised on Tesla's automobile mode

Concerns have been raised about Tesla cars in the past. Earlier, there have been several criticisms about its automotive mode. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Tesla cars have caused at least 12 traffic deaths in 2016 due to cars running in automotive mode and hands-free driving. Traffic accidents have killed 20,160 people in the first half of this year. This is 18.4 percent higher than 2020.
