Meta has recently released AudioCraft, an open-source AI tool. The company has claimed that with the help of this tool, professional musicians and ordinary users will be able to create audio and music by just putting only text.

It contains three tools: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec. MusicGen has been trained from Meta's own music library and can generate music from text input. While AudioGen had been trained with public sound effects and it can also generate audio through text input, the EnCodec decoder helps to generate high-quality music.

Meta is going to available its pre-trend AudioGen models. By this, users can generate environmental sound and sound effects such as the sound of a dog barking, the sound of the horn of cars, or the sound of footsteps on the wooden floor, etc.

It has several applications like Music composition, sound effect generation, compression algorithms, and audio generation. The aim of Meta was to make it open source so that researchers and practitioners can train their models with their own datasets.

Meta has also claimed that the development took place with the AI to generate text, audio, and video. AudioGen is giving an opportunity to create high-quality audio.
