Social media giant Twitter has closed browsing access on its web platform for those who do not have twitter accounts. The company owner Elon Musk said that this decision was taken for ‘data scrapping’ security.

According to some media reports this decision can put the company itself at a disadvantage because search engine algorithm can decrease twitter ranking.

Musk posted a tweet and said that it was a temporary cure. Due to data thieving, it had become a disrespectful service for the account users. He targeted AI companies and said that some companies were doing data scrapping which was not good for the platform.

According to a post of twitter daily, the company took this decision for saving the data. This move can reduce the external links to twitter’s data. This decision can be a good step for some time but it is very important to take right decision for a long term goals.
