WhatsApp is a popular application owned by Meta which is used by crores of people daily. According to WhatsApp, it is not easy to hack someone's account but still, there are so many ways through which hackers try to hack the accounts.

And nowadays cyber thugs are trapping people through WhatsApp, in new ways. So today we are going to share some tips with you to avoid WhatsApp scams.

Don't reply on an anonymous number: If you receive a WhatsApp message from an unknown number, especially from an international number, then do not reply to it immediately. First, check the number and make sure that whether the number is verified or not, and only then start chatting.

Phishing Attack: Cyber thugs usually send messages to people in the name of banks, delivery services and government agencies by sharing some kind of schemes. They also share some web links in those messages. Be careful of such messages, as this is a method of phishing attack.

Think before you click: Do not click on any link given with any message received from an unknown number. If someone you trust has shared the link then you can view it, but do not click on the message coming from an unknown number. With the help of these links, malware or viruses are downloaded into the phone.

Don't share personal details: Do not share your personal information like bank account number, internet banking password, credit card details, etc. with anyone apart from your trustable people.

Earn more in less time: Cyber thugs also offer some shortcut methods to earn money in a short period. For this, they send messages to people on WhatsApp and claim that their money will double in a very short time after investment or offer them to join a company. Apart from this, they also offer some kinds of lotteries, offers etc., so avoid these kinds of offers.

The digital world is no doubt easily accessible to everyone but it is very important to save yourself from such unnatural activities.
