Snap Inc. lists the most commonly used usage lenses on the popular Snapchat app. has declared. The company has reported that cultural moments and festivals were trending, especially among Indian users, and which lenses were used more. Snapchat has about 120 million active users in India.

'Happy Diwali' lens has been the most popular

'Happy Diwali' lens was the most popular during this period and more than 20 crore impressions were recorded for the same. With this lens, the user's hand was recognized and a burning virtual was placed on it. In India, the use of lenses on festivals like Holi and Deepawali was more common than before. On occasions like Raksha Bandhan, Holi and Friendship Day, 'Happy Raksha Bandhan', 'Sparkling Hand' and 'My Friend is' lenses were used in order.

The special lens on completion of 75 years of Independence

The company also released a special India Gate landmark lens to mark 75 years of India's independence. With the help of this, users could scan India Gate in Delhi and be shown the Indian National Flag along with India Gate. Apart from the tricolor, India Gate was also seen in the colors of the flag. This lens was also well received and used by Indian users.

Women's Day Lensathon Winner Announced

The company has also announced the winning lens of the International Women's Day Lensathon. Snapchat brought this event to encourage creators to promote and create new lenses. Mood octopus lenses designed by Pradeepa Anandi have been selected as the winner this year. With this lens, users AR can change the color of the octopus' toy according to their mood and express their feelings.

Snapchat bringing story studio app

Snapchat recently launched an advanced video-editing app Called Story Studio for Snapchat. With the help of this app, creators will be able to design vertical videos using advanced tools that can be shared like stories. However, the app is currently available only for iOS users in the US, UK, and Canada. It can be released in all markets and also for Android users in the next few months.
