Skoda Is Planning to Launch 6 Superb Cars in 2022

The new year is going to be very important for auto manufacturing company Skoda India. The company already has six cars in its pipeline this year and is expected to add more models later. These six cars will have some brand new cars, while some will come in the form of variants and updates. It may be recalled that after Kushaq's success in 2021, Skoda has focused its attention on the Indian market.

Kodiaq Facelift

Skoda's pipeline has the first car Kodiak facelift, which will be launched only in January. As a design, the Kodiaq facelift can be provided with a vertical slate butterfly grille, wide air dam, and sleek headlamps with sculpted bonnet. The car will come with a petrol engine TSI 2.0 litres, which will generate 187hp power and 320Nm peak torque, while the base RS variant of the car is fitted with a 2.0 TSI petrol engine.

Skoda Slavia

Skoda's medium-sized luxury sedan car Slavia is hitting India in March. Slavia will be introduced in three variants like Active, Ambition, and Style in the manual version, out of which automatic transmission will be provided only in ambition and style variants. Slavia will come as a petrol option only and its first variant comes with a 1.0 litre TSI petrol engine. It will be connected to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Skoda Karoq Facelift

Recently Skoda unveiled the facelift variants of its Karoq SUV and is all set to launch this year. Let me tell you that this is the first facelift version of Karoq, which has made several major changes in design including slim full-LED matrix headlights. It will have the option of a 1.0 litre TSI petrol engine, 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine, and a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine.

Kushaq Monte Carlo Variant

Skoda is now working on its Monte Carlo variant after Kushaq launched last year. It will be a different variant in the SUV lineup which will get a special red and black design package from the outside and inside. Monte Carlo is usually based on the top-spec variant and is likely to have a feature-set similar to the Kushaq style with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. It can also get additional facilities like a digital instrument cluster from Slavia.

Skoda Enyaq EV

Skoda is also planning to enter the electric vehicle segment in 2022. For this, SKODA will bring its Enyaq iV Electric SUV as a fully constructed unit (FBU) in 2022. It is likely to be brought with 52kWh and 58kWh battery pack variants that claim WLTP range up to 340km. It has already been introduced in the global market.

2022 Octavia and Superb

Skoda is also set to introduce the MY22 version of its popular Octavia and Superb models in 2022. These updated models will be built on MBQ A0 IN platform. The current model has a 2.0 litre petrol engine in Octavia, which generates 187.4bhp power between 4,180 and 6,600rpm and 320 nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,990rpm. On the other hand, Skoda's new superb has a turbocharged petrol engine of BS6 complaint 1984cc.
