Samsung users are in for a significant blow as Google Assistant will no longer be supported on Samsung smart TVs from March 1, 2024, according to recent reports.

If you are a Samsung user, brace yourself for a major development. Google is discontinuing its special feature on Samsung devices. Specifically, Samsung TVs will no longer support Google Assistant. According to some reports, starting from March 1, 2024, Google Assistant will cease to function on Samsung smart TVs.

**Samsung Users Unable to Utilize This Feature Anymore**

This decision by the company could be a substantial setback for Samsung users. Samsung has decided to discontinue Google Assistant support on its TVs, effective March 1, 2024. The reason behind this change lies in the alterations made to Google's policies.

It's important to note that, besides Google Assistant, Samsung TVs also come with Google Ond services, providing voice support and aiding in opening apps. On the other hand, Google Assistant supports voice commands for various functions, allowing users to control volume, turn the TV on and off, among other tasks. The absence of Google Assistant may pose challenges for users.

Reportedly, Samsung initiated Google Assistant support on its TVs in the year 2020. However, this support is now coming to an end due to changes in Google's policies. As a result, users with Samsung Smart TVs from 2022, 2021, or 2020 models, including 8K and 4K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, and Lifestyle TVs (Frame, Serif, Terrace, and Sero) will no longer be able to use Google Assistant on their devices from March 1, 2024.

**Ineligible Smart TVs for Google Assistant:**

- 2022 models

- 2021 models

- 2020 8K and 4K QLED TVs

- 2020 Crystal UHD TVs

- 2020 Lifestyle TVs (Frame, Serif, Terrace, and Sero)

In summary, this move by Samsung is expected to impact users who have purchased Samsung Smart TVs in 2022, 2021, or 2020, as they will lose access to Google Assistant functionality from March 1, 2024.
