The first ISOCELL camera sensor has been introduced by tech company Samsung with RGBW colour filter support, which the company has named ISOCELL GWB. The camera sensor has been partnered by the company with Chinese brand Techno and is said to be the most similar sensor to the 'human eyes'. Samsung says the sensor will help you get better colour accuracy and brightness photos.

New sensor showcased in webinar

According to a report in SamMobile, the new ISOCELL GWB camera sensor was showcased by Samsung at a techno webinar on December 6. During the event the company said that this camera sensor uses better colour filter patterns, including white pixels. This way it will be able to capture the light well for more bright photos and the bright parts of the photo will look better than before.

Camera sensor with 64-megapixel resolution

The final output of the photos from the new sensor will be of 64-megapixel resolution. That is, if you are one of those who were hoping to get a new camera sensor in Samsung Galaxy S22 models, you will be disappointed. Previous reports have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 108-megapixel camera. On the other hand, both Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus can have a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Which device will get the new camera sensor?

The report said ISOCELL GWB camera sensors can be found first in Chinese manufacturer Tecno's smartphone. Other device manufacturers will also use the sensor after the Techno smartphone camera that comes in partnership with Samsung. By the end of next year, many smartphones with this sensor can be launched on behalf of different brands. The South Korean company has earlier brought powerful camera sensors in partnership with Xiaomi.

Motorola to bring 200MP camera phones with Samsung

The world's first phone with a 200-megapixel camera could be launched by Motorola next year. Motorola has hinted at this powerful device and then Xiaomi can also use a 200-megapixel camera sensor in its flagship device. Samsung came up with a 200MP ISOCELL camera sensor in September this year but it has not been made a part of any smartphone so far.

Image processing is also important in addition to camera sensors

The camera sensor of the smartphone only collects the light and other data related to the image that is visible outside. This is followed by image processing by the software before the final photo appears on the screen. That is why the same camera sensor can give different final results in two different devices. Low megapixel camera sensors can also click good photos with more powerful sensors when better image processing.
