Reliance jio becomes the first operator to cover all district headquarters of UP with true 5G services

Lucknow / Meerut, June 13, 2023: In a significant development, Reliance Jio’s True 5G services have now reached all district headquarters of Uttar Pradesh (UP), which is India’s most populous state. Jio is the first and the only operator to cover all 75-district headquarters of the state with True 5G services.

Jio True 5G services are now live in 525 cities and towns of Uttar Pradesh, including all main cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Mathura, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, etc. Jio's True 5G network covers all important localities and commercial establishments in most of the cities and towns. Jio is rolling out its True 5G services at a rapid pace across Uttar Pradesh to strengthen its True 5G coverage and provide transformational benefits of technology to Jio users.

Reliance Jio has acquired adequate 5G spectrum in the 3500 MHz and the premium 700 MHz band. As a result, customers will experience very high quality indoor and outdoor True 5G services across the entire state making use of the latest carrier aggregation technology

The Jio Welcome Offer is available to all customers with eligible plans, across the state giving them the freedom of unlimited usage at speed up to 1 Gbps+ at no additional cost. The customer only needs to select Jio network to enjoy the True 5G services.

During the UP-Investor Summit held in February 2023, Shri. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Ltd had promised the roll-out of Jio True 5G services across urban and rural belts of UP, covering all district headquarters and tehsils of UP. The first milestone of covering 75 district headquarters including 525 cities and towns across the state has been achieved in less than four months of his announcement.

Today, Jio’s 5G rollout across the country is progressing at a very fast pace. The True 5G journey that started on Dussehra day (5 October, 2022) with the launch of four main cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi, has now extended to all major cities and towns across the length and breadth of the country.
