Now Enjoy Disney+ Hotstar Subscription for Rs 49

New Delhi: A new monthly mobile plan is being tested by streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar with select Android users. With this plan, users will get the option to view the content for one month for just Rs 49. However, the plan is ads-supported and will allow video content to be viewed only on smartphones or tablets. Users will be able to log in to only one device at a time.

Select Android users getting the plan

Disney+ Hotstar has opened up about the new plan on its customer support page. The company has said that select Android users are getting the benefit of the Rs 49 plan. While the rest of Disney+ Hotstar Plans come with a year-long validity, the plan is valid for a month. In the new plan, customers will get video quality and stereo audio quality output in a resolution HD 720p.

Many of the Android users who have benefited from the plan have first shared screenshots of the plan on Reddit. Android users who take a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar are getting an introductory offer of Rs 99 with which they can avail a subscription of Rs 49, Only Tech reports. The users will get the benefits by payments through debit or credit cards, Paytm, phone pay, or UPI.

Discounts on six-month plans too

Disney+ Hotstar is also offering a discount of Rs 100 on a six-month subscription plan. On availing of a subscription of Rs.299 per month for six months, only Rs.199 will have to be paid for it. In September this year, the company came out with new subscription packs and has scrapped an annual VIP subscription of Rs 399. Now all customers who take subscriptions get access to all the content.

The company comes up with three new plans

Three new plans are offered by Disney+ Hotstar. The first mobile plan is Rs 499, Super Rs 899 and premium is Rs 1,499 and all come with one-year validity. Premium users will be able to stream in 4K quality on four devices. On the other hand, super users get the option of streaming HD on two devices. Content can be viewed on only one device with a mobile plan.

Disney+ Hotstar plans are the cheapest

Disney+ Hotstar plans are the cheapest of the companies that offer video content streaming in India. Disney+ Hotstar offers an annual plan from Rs 499. Amazon has recently increased the price of an annual plan for its Prime service from Rs 999 to Rs 1,499. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Netflix has made its plans cheaper, though Netflix does not offer any annual plans.
