New Delhi: Now every department of government is enabling itself as per the latest technology and this also applies to the challenging pension department. Now a unique technology will ease the system of pension distribution. Know more about the benefits and how it is going to work in this article.

The government has taken another step in the direction of Digital India. For the convenience of retirees, the government has established a Unique Face Recognition Technology ('Unique' Face Recognition Tech). This will make it easier for retirees to submit their annual life certificates. The ability to submit digital life certificates will be extremely beneficial to retirees. It will be possible to determine if the pensioner is alive or not with this technology.

Biometric technology includes face recognition technology. It may be used to recognize persons in a photograph, video, or in real-time. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, unveiled this unique approach on Monday, saying, "This would make life much easier for retired and senior pensioners. Pensioners will be proven alive using this facial recognition technology."

This facial recognition technology for granting life certificates, according to the Union Minister, is a significant change. The Union Minister also congratulated his department's specialists and employees for developing this technology. The technology was created by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology at the request of the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW).

Without exception, all retirees must submit their life certificates by the end of the year. The pension will be continued based on this certificate. "The Union Government has been attentive to the concerns of retirees and has attempted to ease their burdens. The administration launched a digital life certificate facility for retirees after taking office in 2014."

This new technology will make it simple for millions of retirees to submit life certificates using a mobile app. This would help not just the 68 lakh central government retirees, but also EPFO and state government pensioners.

If everything goes well this technology will ease the overall system of pension distribution.
