ISRO will launch Gaganyan Mission in August
A new rocket had been made for this mission which is ready in Shriharikota.Work has begun on the integration of the Crew Module and Crew Escape System.
The Indian Space Research Organization is going to launch the Gaganyan Mission in August this year. S Somnath, Chairman of ISRO said that the unmanned mission would be launched next year.
He gave this statement during an event of Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). A new rocket had been made for this mission which is ready in Shriharikota.Work has begun on the integration of the Crew Module and Crew Escape System. This work will be completed this month and all the tests will also be done. “By the 2024, we will have an unmanned mission to orbit and bring it back safely, which will be the third mission. At present we have planned these three missions” said S Somnath.
He also said that the safety of the crew members is very important in this mission. So they are doing two more things. First, Crew Escape System and second, Integrated Vehicle Health Management System. Crew escape is a traditional engineering solution, with computer detection whereas, the second system is more intelligent which takes decisions on board without human intervention.
