India is increasing its power in the sea. Now preparations are being made to give another aircraft carrier to the Indian Navy.

A decision regarding this will be taken in the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC). The Indian Navy already has two aircraft carriers, INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant.

The new aircraft carrier will be built at a cost of Rs 40 thousand crores. This aircraft carrier weighing 45 thousand tons will be built in Cochin Shipyard. About 28 fighter planes and helicopters can be deployed on it.

India is now increasing its power in the Indian Ocean. China has two aircraft carriers, while Pakistan does not have even one.

This new aircraft carrier will be like the indigenous Vikrant. Its length will be 262 meters, width will be 62 meters and height will be 59 meters. Its speed will be 52 kilometers per hour. It will take about 8 to 10 years to prepare it.

India will have three carrier battle groups in the coming years. It is like a military base floating on water. It contains dangerous weapons including fighter planes, helicopters, missiles, rockets, guns and bombs. It keeps an eye on an area of 400 kilometers and can face threats coming in this range.

Meanwhile, according to another news, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday unveiled the crest of the Indian Navy's stealth guided missile destroyer 'Imphal'. The Imphal Missile Destroyer is equipped with BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles and indigenous anti-submarine rocket launchers. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai handed over this warship to the Indian Navy on 20 October.

INS Imphal is the third warship among the four built under the '15B Stealth Guided Missile Destroyer Project'.

The Imphal warship has a mass of 7,400 tonnes and a length of 164 metres. This destroyer ship is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and systems, which include surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles and torpedoes. It is capable of achieving a speed of more than 30 knots i.e. 56 kilometers per hour.
