Spotify

The new rating feature for podcasts is being rolled out by popular music streaming platform Spotify. The company is trying to help users find good podcasts. Users will be able to give a podcast rating out of five stars after listening to it. The new rating feature will show users better podcasts with the company's podcast charts recommendation feature. The average rating of the podcast will also be shown on the show's page.

The company gave information in the blog post

Spotify has revealed the new feature in a blog post and said that a rating system is being rolled out for podcasts. The company has said that a 'two-way feedback loop' will be created between creators and listeners with the new podcast rating feature. This way listeners will be able to support their favorite podcasts. Creators will get the option to view ratings after their show gets more than 10 ratings.

Ratings will be available only after hearing

The company believes that both creating podcasts and listening will benefit from the new rating feature. Creators will be able to see how many people are listening and liking their show. Also, more listeners will prefer podcasts with better ratings. The good thing is that you will get the option to rate the podcast only after listening to it for at least 30 seconds.

Everyone will get the feature in the next few days

Spotify has said that the new feature will be rolled out in the next few days for all markets where podcasts are available. Users who want to rate a podcast will have to tap the ratings on the show's page. Tapping the three dots on the podcast cover art will also give you the option to rate. The company has asked podcast owners to share more users about the feature.

Real-time lyrics feature found this year

Spotify has recently come up with a real-time lyrics feature. This feature was earlier available in select countries and has now been rolled out for all. Users can also share lyrics of songs appearing in the app on social media platforms. The company says most of the songs in its music library will get support for the new feature. The real-time lyrics feature will also benefit those who do not have a subscription to the Spotify premium.

Users can also avail of premium subscriptions

Spotify users who take subscriptions to premium plans do not receive any audio add-ons and add-free experience during the music. In addition, premium users can also listen to songs and playlists offline without the internet. With premium support, users can start group listening sessions and also get multiple device support. The company also offers pre-designed playlists and many extra features to premium users.
