Google launched its AI-powered search engine (Google AI-Powered Search Engine) in India in the year 2023, August, which can be used But till now no fee was being charged. But now news has come out that Google is considering charging a fee for this facility. According to a Reuters report, the Financial Times, citing people familiar with Google's planning, reported on Wednesday that Alphabet's Google is considering charging for premium features on its generic AI-powered search engine.

The report said that the giant tech company Google is considering several options, which also include AI-powered search facilities in premium membership services. Access to Google's AI tool Gemini is already available in Gmail and Docs.

According to the information, Alphabet shares have fallen by about 1% in extended business. Now Google is preparing to charge for the premium services of its AI powered search engine. In fact, Google wants to establish its hold in the rapidly growing AI field, when this step of the giant tech company will be the first opportunity to put one of its main products behind a paywall.

According to the report, Google's traditional search engine will remain free as before. No fee will be charged from customers for this. On this, along with the search results, subscribers will also get to see ads. Google said, "We are not working on, nor are we considering, an ad-free search experience. As we have done many times before, we at Google "We will continue to build new premium capabilities and services to enhance the subscription offering."

Due to the boom in AI field, Google has also created this technology. In this field, it competes with ChatGPT maker OpenAI and its supporter Microsoft.
