According to the study website, two of these eight applications were paid apps, meaning that users had to pay to download and install them as well.

Many fake crypto apps are still on the market

According to the study report, more than 120 bogus bitcoin applications are still accessible for download on the internet. "These applications do not have bitcoin mining capabilities, and they bombard users with in-app advertisements," according to the study.
