Electric vehicles (EV) are being loved and demand is also increasing in the Indian market. In such a situation, the vehicle manufacturing companies are giving full emphasis on making EVs. Some new electric cars are set to be launched in India next year, priced at less than Rs 20 lakh, and will deliver better performance than oil-powered cars. So, let's know about all these electric cars.

Mahindra XUV 400: Priced at around 14 lakhs

Mahindra is set to launch its XUV 300 electric variant next year. According to reports, the company will introduce it in the Indian market under the name XUV 400. Coming to its cabin features, this electric SUV will be given a large cabin in which the charging port will be placed on the side of the front face. It has 350V battery power, which is also expected to include a more powerful 380V version later.

Mahindra eKUV 100: Price starts at around Rs 9 lakh

Mahindra will launch an electric version of its KUV 100 by the first half of 2022. The company introduced its car at the 2020 Auto Expo. It will have a 15.9kWh battery pack that will help the electric motor generate 54.4bhp (40kW) power and 120Nm torque. With a regular charger, you can charge the battery up to 100% in 5 hours 45 minutes. On the other hand, fast chargers can charge up to 80% of the battery in just 55 minutes.

MG Electric Crossover: Price Starts at Rs 10 Lakh

MG Motors recently officially announced its electric crossover. This car will also be launched next year. The company claims that the car is capable of providing a range of 300 km in full charge. MG has built this electric car for a special Indian market. According to reports, it will take on Tata Nexon Electric after its launch.

Hyundai Venue Electric: Price Starts at 12 lakhs

Hyundai had recently announced six new electric cars for the Indian market which will be launched by 2028. According to reports, the company may also launch electric variants of some of its existing cars with Hyundai Venue being the company's first model. The car is being landed in India to rival Tata Nexon and the company will also include some new features.

Tata Altroz EV: Price starts at Rs 10 lakh

Tata Motors is set to launch its Altrose car in electric variants in 2022. The company introduced the car in 2019. The car is built on an alpha modular frame and will be launched with gyptron electric technology. It will have a lithium-ion battery pack of 30.2kWh. Once fully charged, the car will be able to cover a distance of 312 kilometers.
