A magnificent and safe car is everyone's desire. Keeping this in mind, the car manufacturers have paid full attention to the safety features of the car. This year, a number of cars were launched in India that not only had all the security features but also got a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP Test. So, let's know about these cars in detail that launched in India in 2021 and got a 5-star NCAP rating.

Tata Punch

Tata Punch has scored 16.45 out of a maximum of 17 points for adult occupant protection, the highest score achieved by any car in India. On the other hand, when it comes to the safety of children, this SUV has scored 40.89 marks out of a maximum of 49, giving it a four-star score in this category. It has dual front airbags, rear view cameras, EBD with ABS and parking sensors for passenger safety.

Mahindra XUV700

Mahindra XUV700 scored 16.03 out of a maximum of 17 for adult occupant protection. On the other hand, when it comes to the safety of children, the SUV has scored 41.66 out of a maximum of 49, giving it a four-star score in this category. Significantly, the model tested by Global NCAP had the most basic safety features, including double airbags, ABS and isofix child seat anchorage, which has given it five stars.

Tata Altroz

Altroz has scored 16.13 out of 17 points in adult occupant protection and Altroz secured 3-star with 29 out of 49 points in terms of child occupancy. Thus, Tata Altroz is the safest car in the country in the hatchback segment based on global NCAP testing. It features two airbags for safety, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminders for further seats.

BMW iX

BMW iX got a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test. BMW iX Electric SUV has received a 91 per cent rating for Adult Occupant Protection. Talking about the safety of children, the SUV has scored 24 marks out of a maximum of 24 and has scored seven out of 13 points for safety features, giving it an 87 percent rating. Its front coalition warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist makes safe.

Mercedes-Benz EQS

Mercedes-Benz EQS is slated to launch in India in January 2022 but has become the safest car of the year. It has scored more points than all the cars that have joined the Test this year, securing a rating of perfect five. Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan Car has received a 95 per cent rating for Adult Occupant Protection. On the other hand, 24 marks out of a maximum of 24 have been scored in the safety of children with 91 percent.
